Emma Stone is Cruella
Emma Stone was given the fun role of a lifetime when she was
chosen to play Cruella De Vil in the Disney, live action film Cruella. The film
was great and her character got to be both a good guy and naughty at the same
time. The movie was a lot of fun to make. Emma Thompson played her rival, the
Baroness. She was a very rich and powerful fashion designer. Cruella started
out as Estella, a girl whose mother passed away and had to fend for herself.
She had the help of her two good natured friends and two lovely dogs. Eventually
she turned into Cruella. I will not spoil the film for those who haven’t seen
it yet as there are lots of surprises. The film is also very new as well, so I
will not give anything else away.
There are scenes early in the film where Estella is working
in a fashionable shop in London and has to spend a lot of time cleaning toilets
as well as taking out the trash. There is even a scene where a garbage bag
breaks open all over her. She starts out having to do many embarrassing tasks.
There were a lot of scenes where she had to do demeaning jobs for the Baroness
as well. It was all played to comedic effect. Emma looked amazing doing it as
well. There were two looks and personalities. Estella had glasses and burgundy
hair. Cruella had hair that was half black and half white. She looked gorgeous both
ways.
There were more scenes that took things to an even more
embarrassing level. The Baroness would sometimes order Estella to get her
lunch. It would be very specific and very extravagant. In this scene, Estella
managed to get one little, minute detail of what the Baroness asked for not
exactly correct. She had asked for a salad with various items, dressing, tuna
and very specific spices. Estella had done her best but the place where she got
the salad was out of a certain type of lettuce that the Baroness requested.
Estella was hoping that the Baroness would not notice. The kind that they gave
her very almost the same. They were very similar. So similar, in fact, that
nine out of ten people would not notice the difference. It was very minute. Of
course, it only took the Baroness one second to identify that there was a
difference. She did not even have to taste it. “What is this? This is not what I
asked for. This lettuce is not the special type I requested. What is the
meaning of this?” Estella sheepishly started to answer,” Well, the place that
you like did not have the other kind. I went everywhere in the area and nowhere
else had it either. They said that this was just as good and that some people
actually prefer it.” The Baroness cut her off. “I am sick of your excuses. I
can’t eat this now. This is awful. My whole afternoon is completely ruined now.”
She summoned Estella over with her finger. Estella tiptoed
over to her sheepishly. She then tipped the salad over Estella’s head. The
lettuce and the tuna stuck all over her head. She then pulled a cart over that
had the lunches of other people on them. Someone had baked beans in a plastic
cup covered with cling film. The Baroness peeled the cling film off and then
dumped the baked beans over Estella’s head. She rolled her eyes, but did not
respond. The Baroness then dumped a thermos of soup over Estella’s head. It was
cream of tomato soup. It was red and sloppy. It poured down Estella’s face and
then all over her body. The Baroness then took people’s sandwiches and threw
them in Estella’s face. They stuck all over her. When she was done, she ordered
her to leave her sight and to go clean up.
There was then more scenes of her cleaning. There was a
scene where she was cleaning the toilet. She recoiled in disgust at the apparent
smell. She then looked down into it. The toilet then exploded with brown muck
all over her. She comically, flailed about as the spray doused her in brown
mess. Of course, it was just brown gunge and water inside.
In another scene, the Baroness, had lost her necklace. She
got it into her head that it may be in the dumpster, in the trash. She ordered
Estella to go digging for it. Estella went outside, rolling her eyes. She
looked into the dumpster and recoiled and the smell. She waived her hand in
front of her nose. She tried to reach in but leaned over to far and fell inside
the dumpster completely. When her head popped out of the dumpster, she was
covered in trash. There were bits of bin liners, banana peels, tea bags, bits
of sandwiches and other assorted rubbish stuck to her. She then dug through the
bags looking for the necklace. Every now and then more of the sloppy, slimy
rubbish would accidentally get all over her.
Later in the film. Cruella and the Baroness were attempting
to one up one another. Cruella had embarrassed the Baroness many times. It was
time for her to get some revenge on her for that. Cruella had carried out a
stunt where she had come in on a garbage truck to crash one of the Baroness’
events. The Baroness had found out what she planned and decided to get back at
her. Everything went as Cruella had planned, but when she came off of the
garbage truck, the dumping mechanism was triggered. This caused the truck to
begin to dump. In the truck was garbage and thick green gunge. When it tilted,
the garbage and the slime poured down all over Cruella. She gasped as she was
covered in it. Unfortunately for the Baroness, even this backfired. Instead of
people laughing at Cruella, they just thought that this was part of her stunt
and was part of the new fashion that she was promoting. She just smiled and
pretended the whole thing had been a part of her plan. She later promoted a
whole special line of clothing based on using old rubbish to make clothing out
of. She even spun it to suggest that she was promoting recycling and eco-friendly
products. The Baroness was not amused. Even covering Cruella in trash did not ruin
her image.
