Kat Dennings Shifting Gears
Kat Dennings starred on Shifting Gears. She played a single mother who moved back in with her father. Kat’s character and her father appeared on a gameshow in one of the episodes. The game pitted Kat’s character Riley against her father. The winner would have a decision to make. The game was quiz of how well the father knew the daughter. He would have to guess how she answered on a series of questions. If he got the majority right. He win the game. Kat’s character was confident that her father would not be able to get enough questions correct.
The game was very close. After four questions, the father
had gotten two correct and two incorrect. It would all come down to the final
question. The question was asked and he answered it, but he did not seem to
sure. Kat, on the other hand, was shocked, because he managed to get the answer
correct.
“Now Dad has won the game,” the host explained,” That means he has a decision to make. He can either take the prize or we could get out some mess and he could mess his daughter.” Kat’s mouth fell open. Her eyes widened. She pointed and said no, but the audience were all saying yes. “So what will it be Dad?” “I think that Ii am going to mess my daughter,” he responded. She playfully slapped him. “No, you can’t do this,” she said in her high pitched voice. “Please, no,” she begged.
A chair was brought out for her to sit on. She was led over by the hand. She reluctantly followed and sat in the seat. It was explained that today on the show the special they had for her was spaghetti and meat sauce. Kat crossed her arms and sputtered her lips.
A large bucket of spaghetti was brought out and given to her Dad. “Now Dad, I bet you have always wanted to do this to your daughter,” the host teased. “Oh you bet,” he responded. He looked at the spaghetti and then down at his daughter. He was going to get the pleasure of dumping the spaghetti all over his daughter.
Kat closed her eyes tightly and blew up her cheeks. He
raised the bucket over her head and then began to tip it over her. The
spaghetti rolled out and landed on her head. The sauce poured down her hair and
down the sides and the front of her face. More was dumped over her body.
Spaghetti and sauce landed all over her jeans and on her green jacket. She
placed her hands on her face and reached back. She swung her hair. She was
covered in the spaghetti everywhere. It stuck to her hair, face and clothes.
She rolled her eyes. She looked completely humiliated.
Her on screen Dad smiled and laughed. The audience roared
its approval. They were loving this.
