Giuliana Rancic purple carpet surprise

Giuliana Rancic (DePandi) has been a reporter on E for many years. She was would always report Hollywood news and gossip for the network as well as fashion and other trends. She did a lot of reporting about awards shows including the red carpet, the fashion and the winners at most awards shows including the Grammys, Oscars, Golden Globes and Emmys. She was asked to do the same for a teen award show similar to the Kid’s Choice Awards. It also included a healthy dose of gunge/ slime and other messes. It was a new show and they were thrilled to have E on board. Giuliana was more than happy to do her bit during the broadcast.

It started out with the red carpet. Nickelodeon had the orange carpet of course. This show had a purple carpet. The show featured the usual minor celebrities that usually appeared on this type of show as well as some slightly larger ones. Giuliana did as she usually did and interviewed them as they exited their cars and asked about how they felt, whose clothes they were wearing, what they were looking forward to etc.. There was a real air of excitement and drama in the air because no one really knew what to expect from the show as it was a brand new awards show. It would be very much in the vain of all of the other award shows, but with its own twists. They stated that they would try to include as many surprises as possible because a lot of the other awards shows were quite dull and formulaic in their nature. Of course, that being said, all awards shows had a basic format that this show would be keeping to.

Giuliana did her part by interviewing every celebrity who strolled the purple carpet. It was a very long process that was edited a bit for television. She wore a strapless, shoulder less black dress with silver sparkles at the top and matching black heals with silver sparkling bits on the heel. Her hair was back. She looked gorgeous. She had not looked as good in some time. She had a sexy tan and was not as super thin as she could be at other times.

The final person to make their way down the carpet was the host of the show. He was a comedic individual who was in his early twenties. He was something of a heart throb, but also was known for being very silly and juvenile at the same time. She stopped him and asked if he had a minute before the show started to speak with her. “Oh of course, I was actually counting on it.” He winked at the camera and put his arm around her a bit. “Are you excited to be hosting the show? What can we expect?” “Yes I am very excited. We are going to have lots of fun, lots of laughs, lots of surprises.” “Oh that sounds very exciting. What kinds of surprises?,” she asked. “Well, I am so glad that you asked, because we happen to have one for you right now,” he said.

He then reached behind him. Before she could react, he had a creamy pie in his hand and smashed it into her face. Her mouth fell open as he creamed her. She could only laugh sheepishly as he pied her. Her face was covered in thick creamy mess. It plastered her hair. As this happened, she stumbled backwards. As she did this, it triggered a bucket full of sloppy purple gunge to begin pouring all over her. It dumped down her head, slopping her hair and pouring down the sides of her face. It poured down her neck and all over her bare shoulders.

The host then turned to the camera. He gave a very cheesy grin and said,” See, I bet you were very surprised by that now weren’t you,” he joked. “I definitely have to say that I was certainly surprised by that,” she uttered. She shook her head and picked form of the pie crust and gunge off of her hair.

She then had to do the final bit covered in pie and gunge. “Well, we will look forward to seeing what surprises you have in store for us on the show. Thanks to everyone for watching. Enjoy the show. I have to go get cleaned up now.” She laughed and waived.
