Meg Ryan anything for a client
Meg Ryan was a major actress in the late eighties and early
nineties. She was famous for her many roles, mainly in romantic comedies. She
was never someone who I really ever looked at as being attractive when I was
younger, but lately, I have noticed that she really was very attractive and
still is. She starred in many films with some crazy comic actors such as Tom
Hanks and Billy Crystal.
Meg was doing another romantic comedy with one of these
leading men. They were playing a man and a woman who fancied each other, but
did not want to admit it and were always competing with one another, trying to
get one up on the other one and playing pranks on the other one. They worked as
advertising executives who were going after the same account. They launched
into a war of one-upmanship attempting to make each other look as foolish as
possible. Of course, as they were doing this, they were slowly falling in love.
The last joke would go to far which would cause them to apologise and then get
together. It was a typical plot for this kind of film.
There was one scene in the film where the male character set
up Meg’s character. There was an event coming up that the client was excited
about. Of course, Meg wanted to be the one who was involved in the event. The
male character did as well, but he was told by the client that the event was a
fundraiser that involved what they called the slop drop. They said that they
needed someone to take part. Meg’s character did not have this knowledge. The
two execs argued over who would get to do it. The male one pretended he wanted
to do it, so he would not give it away. In the end, he reluctantly agreed to
let her do it, saying that he should be the one to get the next opportunity.
She smiled, thinking that she had won. He smirked, knowing that, in reality,
she had just agreed to a public messing. He then took the opportunity to invite
all of their colleagues along. He told her to have a great time.
The scene then cut to Meg sat below a tank filled with baked
beans, tapioca pudding, gravy, macaroni and cheese and coleslaw. She rolled her
eyes. The client thanked her so much for doing this. She held back her
annoyance, knowing that her competitor must have known what was going to
happen. “Anything for a client,” she said with a very large fake smile on her
face. She was hoping that at least that going through this would mean she would
win the account.
Just then, her competitor and all of the other execs showed
up. They were all waiving and laughing. The male competitor waved. “You, SOB,
you knew this would happen. Didn’t you?,” she said. “I don’t know what you are
annoyed about, you insisted that you get to be the one to do this. You wouldn’t
take no for an answer in fact,” he replied. She shook her head in anger. “You,
you.. I just can’t.” “I am glad to, this is going to be great.”
They then asked for a volunteer to get to unleash the mess
on Meg. The male exec stepped forward. The client shook his hand. Meg looked at
him shaking her head as he smirked. “No, no, please you can’t, please.” He then
reminded her that she had just done something nearly as humiliating to him only
a few days earlier. She screamed no as he pushed the release button as hard as
he could.
The collected, disgusting mess began to pour down all over
Meg from above. She closed her eyes and grimaced as the foul smelling slop
poured down over her face, hair and body. The gathered crowd roared with
laughter and applause. She flailed about comically as the sloppy mess from
above splattered all over her. She was also dressed in an expensive executive
suit, which was getting totally trashed. The mess seemed to fall for ages.
Everyone laughed loudly as she slid about in the tank. When it was over she
pounded her fist on the door of the tank at her competitor and let out a
furious exasperated roar. She then began to pout and moan,” Oh my God, look at
my hair, look at my body, look at my clothes. It smells so disgusting. Oh my
God. What is all of this?” Her short blonde hair was covered in revolting slop.
“This is the most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to me. I am going
to stink for days.” She stuck her nose and tongue up and feigned a sort of
gagging motion. She waved her hand in front of her nose. “This stinks,” she
shouted.
The client came forward and thanked her. “Anything for a
client,” she said, mess dripping all over her. She was covered from head to
toe. Time would tell who would get the last laugh.
