Lisa Loeb what about me?
Lisa Loeb was a singer in the nineties. She had a number one
single with Stay (I missed you) from the Reality Bites soundtrack. She was
really cute. She was very geeky. She wore glasses and was shy and reserved, but
enjoyed a good laugh as well. She loved the idea of getting messy. She secretly
thought that it would be quite funny and a bit of a turn on. She did not admit
that to anyone for a long time. She had seen her 90’s counterparts getting
messed. She sent out messages to the effect of,” What about me?” Eventually,
she received a response from someone involved in some of those previous
messings saying that they hoped she would be next. She responded that she would
be up for it.
She decided to do a special performance at a coffee shop
near where she lived for charity. She was to be slimed at the end of it. The
event would raise money for the charity. It would be a really fun time for
everyone who came. She would broadcast the whole thing on social media as well.
She promoted it online, encouraging people to come and to donate. She told
everyone that if a set amount of money was raised that she would be getting
slimed at the end of her performance. Of course, it was a foregone conclusion
that it would be occurring. She tried to not let on how much she was actually
looking forward to it. She had secretly wanted to get slimed or gunged for a
very long time. Because she was considered more of a serious artist, no one
would have thought that she would be up for this sort of thing. Getting slimed
was something that usually happened more to pop singers and members of girl/boy
bands.
She wore her trademark black dress and of course her famous
glasses. She thanked everyone who came out and then began to play some of her
more famous songs. She was a brilliant artist to be fair. Her music was
actually amazing. In the middle of the set she stopped to have a word with the
audience. "Thank you to everyone for coming out tonight and for all of
your generous donations. I am happy to announce that we doubled our goal for
donations for the evening. I am so pleased. What that means for me though is
that you are going to be seeing me getting a bit messy at the end of the
evening. I hope that you enjoy that. Actually, since we raised double our goal,
maybe I should get double the mess. What do you think? Are you all up for that?”
The audience cheered.
She then played several more of her songs. She played her
acoustic guitar. Finally, the time came for the last song. As the song ended,
some of the staff began to pour green slime over Lisa. She continued as best
she could strumming her guitar and singing as the slime poured all over her.
She laughed as it poured down her dark hair and then down her face. The slime
covered her glasses. They did not fall off, but were splattered in gooey green
slime. More slime poured down her chest and down her dress over the rest of her
body. Gooey slime stuck all over her body. She laughed as the goop dripped all
over her.
Then, as an unexpected bonus, the coffee bar staff took some
of the pies, cake and pastries that they had behind the counter and began to
pelt Lisa with them. She raised her arms and giggled as she was pelted with
cream cakes, scones, cheesecake and other assorted baked good. Cream, jam,
chocolate and icing smeared all over her clothes and her body. Bits of pastry,
puree and cream stuck to her hair and face. She laughed uncontrollably. She was
genuinely enjoying what was happening to her. She felt that it was quite hilarious.
When it was all over, the audience cheered. She stood up and
took a bow as photos were snapped. “Oh, that was great. Thanks again to
everyone. I hope everyone enjoyed that,” Lisa said as she picked a cream and
jam scone from her hair.
